Creative Curtains and Interiors are a must visit place for any of your curtain or interior needs. Creative Curtains solved a dramatic problem for Arthouse Cinema when we needed Blackout Curtains; on a shoestring; and over the Summer Christmas Holidays.

Without so much as blinking they solved our problem simply, beautifully and effectively. I knew that I would come back to them when my children were older and I could finally get rid of the grubby playtime things we had had hanging since they were babies.

Finally the day came when I could call Creative Curtains. I had waited for the sticky fingered ones to get to an age when they wouldn’t make my curtains look like lamingtons – and when that day dawned, Les met me at home and we had a pow wow. Brilliantly he had guessed the clean modernist direction I wanted to head in and bought swathes of samples with him. What a great idea to hang some of these in the lounge and family room over time to see if they were “liveable”. How the samples changed from dawn to dusk; and under different lighting as we changed the home over to halogens. The test areas for new paints had the new curtains hanging next to them as visitors came and went and we gathered opinions, finally we had our plan.

The wait was tiny. I have waited longer for fish and chips than I did for Creative Curtains to finish the job. The install went without hitch and the final product is clean, relaxing, warm and beautiful. From go to wo, the the service and communication we experienced were without fault. I would not hesitate to recommend them from either our professional, commercial install at Arthouse Cinema or the great job they did for our home.

What can I say but amazing.

My first experience at getting new curtains made. Having visited 2 or 3 shops, where I was left trying to find my way through racks and racks of samples and getting totally confused, I decided to take my ever-increasing headache to one last business before finally giving up and making my own.

What a difference to be greeted by smiling cheerful people who asked all sorts of sensible questions like “what colour were the walls”, “did I want the curtains to be a feature or not”, “what type of window treatments did I want?” I had to admit that I didn’t know how I was going to treat one or two problem areas – not a problem, they could advise. Out came the colour chart, and then almost magically samples of the colour/shading I had been thinking of appeared along with suggestions of different tones or textures for different rooms etc. They knew just where all the right coloured samples were which meant I was not faced with a multitude of racks. Track was suggested, did I want it to blend in or stand out? I had no idea there were so many ways to hang curtains! Armed with just a few samples to choose from, I headed home. Perfect – the choice was so easy.

Measuring up was a breeze, sensible suggestions for the problem areas, and all the little details like which side any cords would hang on, how high above and below the windows etc, and the person measuring would also do the installing. (Friends had advised me that this is quite crucial for a professional looking finish.)

The day of the hanging!! A pleasure to observe someone who knows exactly what they are doing and who carries out the work efficiently, cleanly and with pride. The making of my curtains and blinds is faultless and everything is lined beautifully.

I absolutely love my new window treatments’, they meet all my requirements, and look simply amazing and thanks to the lovely people at Creative Curtains the whole experience was stress free and enjoyable (and I must say cost-wise I was pleasantly surprised).
