Creative Curtains is a boutique interior design and window furnishings studio based in New Plymouth.

We’re the friend with impeccable taste, here to help you create a home that feels beautifully considered, effortlessly you, and a pleasure to live in.

We listen first, taking the time to understand how you want your space to feel, before guiding you through fabrics, textures, colours and window furnishings that bring that vision to life.

From curtains and blinds to soft furnishings and the finer details, every element is designed with intention and made with care. Our role is to guide, refine and create alongside you, so you feel confident and inspired at every step.

TARA BREAKWELL

As the creative behind Creative Curtains, I’m involved in every step of the journey, from the first conversation through to the final installation.

I love getting to know my clients, understanding what they love, what they’re drawn to, and most importantly, how they want their home to feel.

I bring together the creative and practical sides of a project, helping with fabric and colour selections, designing window treatments and soft furnishings, measuring, quoting and overseeing the making and installation.

My role is to take what can sometimes feel like an overwhelming number of choices and turn them into something cohesive, considered and uniquely yours.

For me, it’s about more than beautiful curtains. It’s about creating spaces that feel right and giving my clients the confidence to enjoy the process along the way.

After the ‘go ahead’ your fabrics and hardware is ordered

INSTALL

Once everything is ready, we’ll arrange a time to install your new window/soft furnishings. Making sure everything is fitted, finished and working beautifully
